Australian-born with Lebanese heritage, now based in the UK. Nick Bacash has been creating for over 20 years. Beginning his journey in theatre as an actor, Nick’s love for storytelling quickly evolved into writing, and eventually content direction. From theatre productions in London and Melbourne to online sketch shows and a five-star audio series.
Most recently Nick was selected as a director for BBC and S4C-backed Welsh film project, It’s My Shout, directing Sianni Bobman; a pivotal moment in his journey as a director. This experience not only showcased his ability to bring stories to life but also deepened his commitment to developing rich, human-centred narratives.
In addition to his film work, Nick is the co-creator of Stolen Moments, a theatre initiative that delves into the human condition through community-driven storytelling, with a focus on connection and exploring the universal themes that unite us all, fostering a community of theatre makers.
When he’s not focused on his own projects, Nick lends his creativity to commercial filmmaking, collaborating with brands and organisations to shape their stories through television commercials, short-form documentaries, social and digital content. By combining a strong visual sensibility with strategic intent, he creates work that resonates and cuts through.
Nick is thrilled to share is latest creative endeavour, the short film, Confronted, a pulse-pounding psychological thriller that peels back the layers of identity, truth, and the secrets we hide. As the producer, writer and director, Nick brings his unique vision to life, using Confronted as a bold calling card for the genre—an exciting showcase of his fascination with perception, deception, and the complex depths of human nature.
